This year, Year 9 students from the Academy and 3rd form students from Wellington College are teaming up across three events called 'The Limitless Grubby Run'.
The first of these events took place here at the Academy on the 20th January.
The day started with an inspirational talk from professional adventurer Sean Conway (http://www.seanconway.com/) , the first man to run, swim and cycle the length of Britain! He talked of his incredible and challenging adventures he has completed over the past few years and encouraged our students to push themselves to always strive to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
The day then continued with students being split into house teams, alongside College students, where they participated in different team activities from performing arts physical theatre tasks to Army assault courses and a range of sporting challenges.
The students worked incredibly well together and were an absolute credit to both schools.
In line with Academy's RESPECT pledge a number of students were awarded at the end of the day with certificates for their success, creativity, resilience and team work.
Well done to all students involved and a big thank you to all staff involved who made it such a successful day.
The next two events will take place at Wellington College in April and June.
