On Friday 8th July, ten Year 8 and Year 9 students had the opportunity to explore STEM careers within an exciting arena of air displays and technology. They had first-hand experience of what being an RAF pilot might involve whilst also having the opportunity to speak to pilots at ground level. Exploring inside the airbus or the Pakistan air force plane were just some of the highlights as well as simulators and a range of activities to get involved in. Some students also saw HRH Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Student comments about their experience:
“It has a simulator where you can have real experience as a pilot.”
“A great learning experience.”
Amazing and inspiring!

“This visit benefitted me because I enjoyed seeing and learning more about jobs in the air. The show was amazing to watch too!”
