On Friday night, 29th January, the cadets had their first exercise of the year. They learnt to make shelters out of simple tarpaulins (bashers) and cooked their ration packs in the field. The cadets went on a patrol in the dark, returning for hot chocolate around the camp fire. It was a damp night, but they were still smiling on Saturday. Route cards, stretcher races, a first aid casualty simulation and navigation kept everyone busy. Finishing off with hot dogs around the camp fire, with some welcome sunshine thrown in. Well done to all who took part in the weekend.
