Boarding House Awards Dinner

On Saturday 2nd July Benson and Wellesley Houses came together to celebrate the end of 2015/2016. We had a great menu which included dough balls, Caesar salad, steak with peppercorn sauce, griddled chicken with bbq glaze and salmon en-croute, all served with a range of salads. Dessert was just as spectacular with a choice of chocolate brownie with homemade honeycomb ice cream or chocolate tart with salted caramel sauce! The food was fantastic, thanks to Harrison and the amazing catering team. The evening saw many awards given out for Academic Achievement, Academic Progress, Contribution to the Boarding House, Sports Awards and Bronze and Silver House Awards.

House Cup
Beresford and Hill House with 683 points earned this academic year for house competitions.

We took the time on Saturday to say goodbye to our Year 11 and 13 leavers, and wish them the best of luck with their future. As we said on Saturday night, even when life gets tough - Don't Quit!

Sunday saw a great afternoon of team work with a range of inflatables coming into the Academy. We had 10 teams all trying to get the highest score for their house. They had to try to be the best at a penalty shootout, caterpillar walking, cargo nets, sumo relay and climbing over a wall and to end the day with the finale of a giant obstacle course! The teams battled it out and the winner was team 9 with Jack Brett, Louis Gabriel Le Roy, Alvaro De Las Harass, Mariana Diaz and Marina Castello. Well done to Lynedoch House who scored an amazing 220 points. Great work, but not quite enough to win the House Cup, this accolade went to Beresford and Hill House.
