What contact will there be between the Academy and my child’s current school?
Our transition team work closely with the feeder primary schools in preparation for the students’ move from primary to secondary school. Miss Sam Amor, Year 7 Student Manager and Mr Rob Wood, Deputy Head will be visiting Year 6 students in their schools to ensure they know what level the students are working at, and to get to know the students. The Key Stage 3 Team will visit the main feeder schools to meet all the students before they come up to the Academy, and we speak in detail with your child’s current class teacher to gain as much information as possible. Some current Year 7 student leaders will also visit the main feeder schools to answer any questions your child might have about moving up to secondary school.
