Wellington Academy was established to become one of the best and most exciting non-selective state schools in the country. We have designed a unique 21stcentury school, part of a £32million campus serving as a learning hub for the whole community. Outstanding features include a 300 seat theatre and twin boarding houses for 100 students.
Since opening in 2009, we are already one of Wiltshire’s highest performing schools. This remarkable start has been achieved by a dedicated staff team, with exceptionally strong parent and community support. Nearly half our students are drawn from service families.
We are sponsored by the leading independent school Wellington College, and aim to be a catalyst for the economic and social regeneration of the locality. We have a Skills Centre and offices in the adjoining Castledown Business Park. Our curriculum specialisms are languages, business and enterprise. We welcome applications for places from students in any year group from 7 to 11, for places in our rapidly growing sixth form or those interested in boarding.
